Fashion brand KLEIR. now available in-store at SKM after successful click & collect partnership

Mid-2020, Collectique facilitated a click & collect partnership between the Antwerp-based fashion brand KLEIR. and retailer SKM. This allowed online shoppers of the brand’s webshop to immediately try on and pick up their order at SKM, and easily return on the spot. Having welcomed several online shoppers in-store, the physical retailer decided to also become a wholesale client of the brand. It’s an inspiring story about how a simple click & collect partnership can help brands win a retailer’s heart!

This case study shows how click & collect can be so much more than just a simple delivery and return service. For SKM, organizing a fit, collect & return service for KLEIR.’s webshop proved quite an effective and cost-efficient manner to assess the brand’s potential. It turned out to be a winning strategy, convincing SKM to eventually add the brand to their collection, while also keeping the click & collect partnership in place.

KLEIR. started offering Collectique’s “click, fit, collect and return” service mid-2020, right after the end of the first lockdown. Despite forced closure of stores during consecutive lockdowns the past year, the brand saw a good percentage of all online orders being placed via this new delivery option. In total, over 50 stores in Flanders are available in KLEIR.’s checkout now. These partnerships with independent stores allow the brand to not only offer many of their clients a convenient fitting and return service at a location nearby (including at SKM), it also generates visibility and goodwill with retail partners.

SKM has a similar click & collect partnership in place with existing wholesale partners, such as the brand Thelma & Louise, but KLEIR. is the very first brand they service as a click & collect point, without having any pre-existing wholesale agreement in place. That’s an absolutely unique feature in the retail landscape.

The partnership turned out to be a clear win for both partners involved. SKM received new footfall in-store and KLEIR. was able to win new clients and service existing clients better. According to Mathias Vertessen (Founder at KLEIR.), “home delivery is not always the most ideal solution. Thanks to Collectique, we can also service those customers who want to combine the convenience of online shopping and the ability to try on clothes in a fitting room. A simple return process for the customer and a convenient dashboard for us.”

Today, anyone visiting SKM can directly find and purchase the brand’s collection in-store. Or shop the items online, and have them delivered at home, or in-store. There’s a whole new range of options now!
